Project Description
Located in Kadenwood, one of Whistler’s most exclusive ski-in/ski-out enclaves, this nearly 8,000-square-foot alpine estate was delivered as a fully integrated mountain residence—where architectural ambition and technical execution were held to equal standards.
Designed as a luxurious contemporary interpretation of the classic A-frame chalet, the home required precise structural coordination to achieve expansive volumes, significant glazing, and seamless indoor–outdoor connection. Extensive experience building on Whistler’s rocky alpine terrain informed the project from excavation through foundation and envelope, ensuring long-term performance in a demanding mountain climate.
The interiors reflect a restrained blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian influence, expressed through disciplined detailing and a refined material palette. Six bedroom suites, a chef’s kitchen with dedicated wok kitchen, and layered living spaces were constructed with an emphasis on precision millwork, concealed systems, and balanced natural light.
The lower level is dedicated to restoration and recreation, integrating a fully appointed spa with steam and sauna, a private gym, media room, and wet bar into a cohesive lower-floor retreat. Direct ski trail access from this floor connects the home to the mountain. The residence is defined not only by its scale, but by the rigor of its construction and the depth of alpine expertise behind its delivery.
