Project Description

This exterior renovation elevates a Whistler mountain home into a refined, year-round retreat built for durability, comfort, and luxury. Designed for a homeowner seeking functional outdoor living in a ski-town climate, the project delivers a fully covered patio, a structurally engineered carport with an EV charger, and a sunken hot tub positioned to capture expansive mountain views. Every element is constructed for long-term performance under extreme weather—hot summers, heavy snow loads, and freeze-thaw cycles.

The new outdoor living space blends gourmet capability with resort-level comfort. A natural-stone-clad kitchen, high-performance quartz countertops, premium appliances, and large-format Aristo pavers create a refined foundation for cooking and entertaining. Recessed lighting, outdoor heaters, and a cedar soffit ensure year-round usability, while a ceiling fan provides summer comfort and insect control.

Achieving this level of quality required extensive excavation, drainage, levelling, and structural work informed by geotechnical, engineering, landscape, and architectural specialists. Gas and electrical lines were carefully rerouted to support heating, lighting, and appliance loads. The finished space merges precision construction with a luxurious alpine aesthetic.
